This week, Badminton Vlaanderen is proud to welcome para badminton athletes from across Europe to Ghent for an international training camp. Over four days (30 June–3 July), athletes will take part in an intensive programme of physical, technical, and tactical training sessions designed to prepare them for the upcoming tournaments and help them reach the next level.
The camp kicked off with a strength and conditioning session led by physical coach Lander Vansteene of G-sport Vlaanderen. Throughout the week, Lander will guide the athletes through strength, cardiovascular, and mobility sessions, with each workout tailored to the individual needs of the participants.
On court, coaches Raf and Sven are providing expert technical guidance, helping the athletes refine their skills and enhance their tactical game through focused training sessions. On Friday, Flore Vandenhoucke will join the coaching staff for the last half day of training.
We are delighted to host this international camp, offering both Belgian and international high level para badminton athletes the opportunity to train in a high-performance environment, learn from experienced coaches, and connect with fellow athletes. This initiative is made possible with the support of Badminton Europe and the National Lottery.
